This is indeed a known issue with the current windows installer. Please note that it bears explicitly the warning that it is not intended for production use as it has not gont through thorough testing.

If this is an issue for you and you want to be using windows, you could do a manual installation; that would work and is not very much more difficult.

That said, I am currently trying to floss out the issue with the windows installer package. Any advice from apache gurus is welcome....

Firefox and other browsers don't seem to be effected.
