[otrs] Cannot login as root@localhost on new installation

      Hello,

I just installed otrs on Mac OS 10.5.4. Everything appeared to install  
fine. I get the login screen. But when I enter root@localhost and root  
for username and password respectively, it simply gives me the  
following message:

Login failed! Your username or password was entered incorrectly

I do see root@localhost as a row in the users table with the password  
from the initial sql setup files. What could be wrong?
