Trying to send a reply, otrs doesn't respond

How do I trouble shoot this problem...? I can navigate through OTRS just fine, pull up tickets and otherwise interact with the server. Then I try to reply to a ticket and when I press "Send mail!", my browser sits forever at "Contacting support.automaticduck.com" Safari eventually times out, other browsers sit forever waiting for a reply. The last time this happened I restarted the server. I don't want to have to do that all the time! -- Wes Plate Automatic Duck, Inc. http://www.wesplate.com http://www.automaticduck.com

This looks like a DNS resolving problem. What kind of server is yours? Is Bind running? Is the machine connect to the internet? How high is the average load on the box? The server is a Powerbook G3 running Yellow Dog Linux 3.0. Nothing has changed on the system since we upgraded to OTRS 1.2.2 back in March. Bind? I don't know about that. Let's see, according to Wedmin, BIND does not appear to be running. The machine is on the internet, yes. I don't know for sure the average load (is there a way to check?), but I don't think it is very high, we don't run a lot of tickets and I am usually the only Agent. -- Wes Plate Automatic Duck, Inc. http://www.wesplate.com http://www.automaticduck.com

BTW, this also happens if I log into the OTRS system via its IP address. -- Wes Plate Automatic Duck, Inc. http://www.wesplate.com http://www.automaticduck.com
