This is what I get when trying to install the GD::Text CPAN module in order to get the graphs to work in OTRS. any ideas on what I'm missing or doing wrong? Hi Marshall, there is no error message. :-( I would try to download the GD::Text package from http://search.cpan.org/ and try to install it with the command line. So you should get more details. Maybe a dependency. -Martin On Wed, Jun 16, 2004 at 03:03:02PM -0700, Marshall28 wrote:

Well I went and downloaded the source and went through the "make" process of: perl Makefile.PL make make test make demo I did all these execept "make install". These 4 tested out fine and I had no issues. when I did the make demo I was able to view the .png it created just fine on my webserver. I'm still curious why CPAN failed to install the modules then. What is your advice? Should I just go ahead and force CPAN to install the modules? thanks marshall -----Original Message----- From: otrs-bounces@otrs.org [mailto:otrs-bounces@otrs.org]On Behalf Of Martin Edenhofer Sent: Wednesday, June 16, 2004 11:34 PM To: User questions and discussions about OTRS. Try to find a precompiled binary package via the package management of your system, it's much easier than doing it via CPAN if errors occur there. hth, Robert Kehl -- ((otrs.de)) :: OTRS GmbH :: Norsk-Data-Str. 1 :: 61352 Bad Homburg http://www.otrs.de/ :: Tel. +49 (0)6172 4832388
