newbie needs help with notifications
Hi, Newbie OTRS user here. I'm having trouble getting notifications to work. I have "new ticket notification" set to "yes" for my queues, but I don't receive a notice. Mail appears to work correctly, however - I can send mail from OTRS. I also see nothing suspicious in the log. Can someone give me some pointers as to what to check? Thanks, Stan McFarland

Have you selected the queues you want to be notified about under My Queues? (You can select multiple queues.) Nils Breunese.

Thanks! That was it. I saw the list of queues in the box earlier and assumed they were active - I didn't realize I had to select them first. -stan

I guess a list of checkboxes would be a lot clearer, yes. Nils Breunese.
This threw me off too way back when I installed otrs 2.0.4 many moons
ago...perhaps a nice way to make it easier so others don't make same
mistake(and keep asking same question) is to have some bold italicized
text that say "Make sure to SELECT all queues otherwise you won't
receive notifications"....
