Time accounting module

Hi, is anybody here who has expience with the "time accounting" module? I'm testing the time accounting module (V.1.2.1) with OTRS V. 2.3.2 and I want to change the period the module calculates/reports the worked hours in a month. A regulary "working month" starts on the first an ends at the 30./31. - right? ;-) We have a different period calculation starting the 15th of every month until the 14th of the next month. Is there a way to tell the module to disply the reports this way? I also have problems to tell the system to handle part-time jobs. When sombody is not working a day or two (because he has only to work 3 or 4 days a week), the system always asks for the missing times for that days. The same for holidays. The only way ist to set the one ill for that day - but this is no good solution. Any ideas? Thanks! Regards, Ivan

Ivan, As for your second problem, 3 & 4 day working weeks are pretty common in the Netherlands :-) We have created a project code 'Internal n.w. - Parttime Absence' (n.w.=Non Working). (We had a manager who always liked to have everybody end up with 40 hours a week on the sheets so he could tell the real exceptions). This way you can also tell when the PT is used. For your first question, I have not gone that far into it yet. Sorry. gr, Frans -

Hi Frans, so if I get you right, you defined a project for absence and people working only 3 days feed the system with absence hours/days for the rest of the week on that project? Regards, Ivan

is there no other approach? I mean this is somewhat "ugly", because worked hours, vacancies etc. are not correct then. Is it possible to add another flag (like ill, vacancy) for "absent, part-time"?? so no ours are calculated... thanks for any hints! Am 10.06.2009 um 15:13 schrieb Frans Stekelenburg:

Hi, thanks Frans for that hint - that's sure a "workaroud" to handle the situation. Better then nothing! I share Romans point of view that (for the future) another solution to clearly handle these things. As I told I work with time accounting V.1.2.1 and with OTRS V. 2.3.2. There is a update for the time occounting module V.1.3.1, but OTRS 2.3.4 is needed, so some work to get the latest version running. Maybe the latest version solves this problem?! Regards, Ivan
