Queue sorting by P2 e-mail address, not P1!

Hi all, I did some more tests and figured out that OTRS uses P2 level e-mail addresses as From reference and not P1 level (which would be more appropriate!). Is there any way to handle this? When using P1 as From reference can be a lot of problems when receiving some forwards or bounces -> replying to these mails will result in wrong To: address, which would be from the guy who did bounce/forward, not the guy who send the original mail. Thanks in advance! With regards, Alex P.S. I'll finally have some time to put together my OTRS@SunOS installantion notes - can you guys tell me how would you like to have that?

Please send it to Martin

Ooops. Typo at "When using P1 as From reference" should be "When using P2 as From reference". Sorry! :) With regards, Alex

Geez, me again :-) something more I discovered - If mail header has this params: Resent-To: xy@bla.com Resent-Date: Tue, 27 May 2003 10:56:34 +0200 Resent-From: someone@somewhere.com Resent-Message-Id: <20030527085634.A72CE42B53@mailmacine.com> Then OTRS figures out correct "originate" From: address. So to clear this out i'd like to know, which mail headers OTRS checks? I can't find this info in documentation. With regards, Alex

Damn! Too fast :-) The bad result of below mentioned headers is, that mail don't get into correct queue. :( With regards, Alex

That's right, the Resent-To header should be checked with priority 1. I added the Resent-To check to the CVS (1.1 and HEAD tree). OTRS 1.1.2 will be released today. PS: The used mail headers are defined in Kernel/Config/Defaults.pm -=> PostmasterX-Header and the function to get the destination queue of new ticket is in Kernel/System/PostMaster/DestQueue.pm -=> GetQueueID().
