Hi! We are sending mails via otrs-postfix and a mail relay. Unfortunately the mail relay is down sometimes. Can I configure otrs and/or postfix to notify me via otrs that an email could not be delivered? lg

Hi Dan! Yes it's a standard Suse Linux 9.2, that means OTRS is handing over the mail to postfix and postfix trys to submit the mail to the mailrelayer. For the submitting issue you are right, that would be a topic for a postfix forum, but the only useful warning in case of no mail relayer would be a notification within otrs ... lg

Yes. See the option delay_warning_time If you set this to 4h for example, you'll get a warning for a delayed mail after 4 hours: delay_warning_time = 4h
You might need some special rules to make sure the "warning" email gets handled right, tho, and be careful what return address it goes out with.
