We're running OTRS on Linux with full AD integration including single sign-on, automatic agent creation/removal from AD, full customer integration with AD - so no customer or agent maintenance. It was a bit fiddly to get set up, but once working it's been very reliable. Can someone give me some hints on how to handle group privileges with AD integration? Hi Steve, I'd very much like to hear more of this. I guess it's a combination of Apache and OTRS configuration as well as that script you mention, right? LDAP connectivity is a protocol and communication issue, not having to do with the OS that makes the connection, or the OS holds the server. Linux connections to Exchange happen all the time. The same code in Config.pm works for Windows as well as Linux, as long as the perl LDAP module is installed. Information retrieved from third parties (other DB, LDAP) does *not* sync to OTRS DB. It is queried. AuthSync for Users (agents) is not demographic information, it's only about reducing authentication requests to the LDAP server. Hope this helps! -- Gerald Young
