Can Foxpro (Xbase) be used as Customer Back end?

I am new to OTRS... and to this list. I subscribed during the email storm, and I assume no one noticed a single valid message in the midst of thousands of autoreplies, so I'll repeat it here... * I want to use an existing Foxpro (dbase III compatible) table as a customer back end, on Fedora Core 5. Is that possible? I've installed an XBase DBI module, and can do simple selects against the table. However, OTRS returns SQL syntax errors. It turns out that the XBase driver does not support "like lower('%Mor%') syntax... it complains of unexpected "(" character... removing the "Lower" function fixes the error. So... it seems like the XBase driver is horribly insufficient for the task. Does anyone know of a driver other than the one in the CPAN library?
