the way i have it set up, there are only two email addresses in OTRS - the default otrs@localhost, and the one i added - rma@cctvwholesalers.com I set the default otrs@localhost to be invalid, so the only option would be the rma@ one. I also set this email to be the default 'auto-response from'. However, every time i test this out (test user creates ticket), the auto response always shows OTRS System (otrs@localhost) in the From: header instead of the rma@. What am I missing here? -- Jon Conkle

That's strange. This works for me. :-/ Maybe you mean "response"? So you have to set the from address for the queue! (auto-responses are e. g. 'default reply', response are default answers shown in the qeue view)

No, here is what I'm doing - System email addresses management: otrs@localhost is set to invalid, rma@cctvwholesalers.com is set to valid. Auto response management: default reply is the only one set to valid for now, and the only one in auto response <-> queue for RMA queue. I then log in as a test user via customer.pl and create a ticket. the correct auto-reply is sent immediately after i create a ticket, but in the From: header it says OTRS System (otrs@localhost) instead of RMA (rma@cctvwholesalers.com). Any ideas? Martin Edenhofer wrote:
