I was looking around in the database earlier, and saw
a table called "faq".
1. Is this table meant for an FAQ/knowledgebase for
the Customer's benefit?
2. Is this table functional? If so, how do I enable
it? If it is not yet functional, is it intended to be
in an upcoming release?
If this table is not meant for an FAQ/knowledgebase, I
think the addition of one would be perfect for a tool
such as this.

Yes.

It's not implemented (because of time). Maybe it will be in OTRS 2. If you have any ideas for a FAQ/knowledgebase in OTRS, let us know it! :)
