I've changed the settings in the Defaults.pm to AutoIncrement first. Didn't work out. Then I've put the settings into the Config.pm. Didn't work out to. It still has the DateTimeChecksum thing. What's up?

I've come a bit further: I've forgotten to uncomment the Load AutoIncrement Lines in apache2-perl-startup. But no I get the Error: Fehler: Need TicketID! Did you restart otrs after changing things in Config.pm? rcotrs restart-force I think only new tickets will get numbers with the new scheme.

I've changed the settings in the Defaults.pm to AutoIncrement first.
You should respect the notes. Do not edit Defaults.pm cause this file will be updated with a new version of otrs, but not Config.pm.

hth Gerold

on redhat it is: service otrs restart. i did it.
it works, when i uncomment the MinCounterSize line.
it seems to be a problem with this directive.
I don't want to have changed the old tickets. thanks anyway.

If you changed the ticket number generator, then you don't have to change something on the old tickets. .-) Just all new ticket number will be generated by an other module.
