
Hi Guys, I have searched a lot, but cant find how to correctly use the Message of the Day. My idea is that it switches automaticly, but the only way i have it working now, is editing the motd.dtl every day. Well is guess thats not the way its supposed to work. Can someone plz help me out? Its pretty much a static thing. Its designed to allow you to present some info that everyone will have a chance to see. You could rotate hat file with a cron job, or write a script that allows other apps to write to that file as needed depending on certain conditions, but as it sits, its just a file. Is there a recommended method of migrating data from 1 OTRS install to another? What I have is the following... 1 existing OTRS install at a customer site 1 new OTRS install, with some data, at my site We want to consolidate all of our customer trouble tracking onto 1 OTRS instance, so I am curious if there is an preferred method of extracting all the data from the older single client ITRS install and importing all of that data into the new multi client install. If not, we will just cut them over, but both the customer, and we, would like to preserve the data if possible.
