Yes, it is. The OTRS server (w2k server stand alone) is in a LAN and have full internet access, i removed the IIS service too.

The fault was to install it beforehand. Well, doesn't matter when it comes to email problems anyway.

They won't. These are errors concerning W3Ctrs and IISInfoCtrs. Google for help with them.

Check if Mercury is running at all. Mercury doesn't autostart atm after a reboot. You might consider using http://www.firedaemon.com/ for this. It's free, but limited to one service and not GPL licensed. Another approach were to use instsrv/srvany from Microsoft. It's in the 'NT Resource Kit' and on ftp.microsoft.com.
