Hello all, I'm trying to track down a problem with OTRS. It worked with no real issues before upgrading to 2.2.5. Currently www.otrs.org is down, so I'm not sure if I'm still current or not. In short, the problem I'm seeing is that OTRS keeps putting it's own queue address in the cc: field when composing a reply to a ticket. If I manually remove that address, all is well, but if I (or another staffer) forgets, then it starts sending itself reminders and the like, which can even re-open a closed ticket. I have OTRS fetching all queues from a single POP mailbox and sorting based on the "To:" line ("Postmaster Filters"). On the mailserver, I have admin@blah.com forworading to otrs@blah.com, which is the POP account OTRS checks. This worked previously... Any ideas how to fix this? I assume there must be some new setting that I missed, but after digging around for quite some time, I'm not seeing it. No... 2.3.2 is the latest current release, afaik.

Don't know the specifics but may help out a bit... As I have seen, otrs adds "unknown" addresses to the CC field when it sees an address that is not previously associated to the ticket or if it is referenced in the email. I ?think? there is a control for this in the SysConfig. I ?think? this is under Frontend::Agent::Ticket::View<something> or somewhere near this. Again, I am not sure on this, trying to go from memory. I remember there is something that mentions adding/not adding addresses. Hope this helps... :-S LQ

ftp.otrs.org is still up though. The latest version in the 2.2.x series is 2.2.8. Version 2.3.2 is the latest stable.

Is the queue system address set to the address that is filtered into that queue? Admin > Queue > [queue] > System Address. Nils Breunese.

Sorry to be so late on replying to my own problem... I have it set to "otrs-admin@blah.com" (a qmail-ism; otrs-* will end up in the otrs@blah.com POP account). Is this the likely culprit? I cannot remember why I set it up that way, and at this point I'm not sure just what might blow up if I alter that address. I think my original intent was to have multiple queues share that otrs@blah.com POP account, so I could have otrs-admin@, otrs-dsl@, etc. Thanks, Charles

hi, we have the same problem here. as far as i know, this CC problem does only occur, when a ticket has been initially generated through an email that was fetched from the postmaster. when you create a ticket through the web interface you will not face this problem... even if you got a follow up message that will be fetched from the postmaster. imho this has to be a small bug, as i don't know what should be the benefit of this "feature". there is indeed an option where you can define, if there should be a CC recipient or not in an answer you are going to send to the customer. afaik it was implemented first in the 2.3.1 release. the problem with this option is, that sometimes you really want to have a CC recipient and with this option being enabled, it won't work that way... and you always have to insert the CC manually... hope this helps a bit... regards, patrick. -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: otrs-bounces@otrs.org [mailto:otrs-bounces@otrs.org] Im Auftrag von Charles Sprickman Gesendet: Donnerstag, 2.
