Hi Is there a posibility to print tickets automatically via GenericAgent.pl? Regards Guenther

Hi Guenther, you want to print immediately new tickets? this is only possible when you can print directly on your server (lpr) and know a little about perl programming. Mario Am Mittwoch, 16. Juli 2003 08:43 schrieb Guenther Rasch:

Hi, Hm, I would make a direct mysql connection that select new tickets. usaly, there is a flag in the database for this. but I don't know this flag. ;-) Then I can create the HTML printing-page from the otrs source. I would convert it using html2ps and send it to lpr. Running this script in cronjob every minute will be enough for me. Mario Am Mittwoch, 16. Juli 2003 17:48 schrieb Guenther Rasch:

As promissed, I'm sending the japanese language file attached to be added to the distribution. The author is one of my japanese co-workers, Hiroko Alinia, and, of course, it's GPL. Isamar

Wow! :) I added it to the CVS head. The CVS head is also utf-8 able and it looks really cool! :) Thanks Hiroko, thanks Isamar!

Hi Martin, Anyway, I'm still having problem with message enconding(iso-2022). Sometimes, due to some character combination, all the rest of the message enconding is broken... I'm debugging now.. if I find a solution, I'll post here. BTW, at OTRS homepage, http://www.otrs.org, there is a link pointing to OTRS in Japan! ,http://otrs.kidanet.com/ . What's that? A Japanese version but no contribution back to the main project?! Isn't this project GPL? That site wouldn't be breaking GPL license not contributing back to the group? Overthere, I can't find download link, email for contact, etc... only a company selling their technical consultant services :-) Isamar -----Original Message----- From: otrs-admin@otrs.org [mailto:otrs-admin@otrs.org]On Behalf Of Martin Edenhofer Sent: Monday, July 21, 2003 8:09 PM To: otrs@otrs.org Subject: Re: [otrs] Japanese language file Hi Isamar, On Thu, Jul 17, 2003 at 04:44:31PM +0900, Isamar Maia wrote:

If you need help... i18n at otrs.org is a mailinglist for that kind of questions.

http://otrs.kidanet.com/ is from Shozo (see Cc). It's a Japanese homepage about OTRS and how it is working. Shozo is also working on a Japanese translation but your translation was faster.

Shozo (or better the company from Shozo) is selling technical consultant services for OTRS. Which is fine! ;-)

I also translate localization file into Japanese coding with EUC. But still I'm working on now. It is easy to post the localization file, but it is only for frontend web screen. I think it is not a solution for most of Japanese email environment. There are several problems and restriction for actual use. I think I need more and more time and skill to do it. At this time, I can't say any more. Thanks. Shozo

Musashi San and Martin, The workaround I found 'til now is: 1) Before call Postmaster.pl, it calls a filter written in perl script: | /usr/olm/bin/otrs-jpfilter | /opt/otrs/bin/PostMaster.pl I'm using the Shift_JIS because it seems to be the best conversion from ISO-2022-JP that worked with Perl. The language file goes attached. The script source code is: #!/usr/bin/perl use Jcode; my $emenda = ""; while (my $line = <STDIN>) { if( $line =~ "iso-2022-jp" || $line =~ "ISO-2022-JP" ) $ my $jconv = new Jcode($line); my $emenda = $jconv->mime_decode; Jcode::convert(\$emenda,'sjis','jis',"z"); print $emenda; } else { my $jconv= new Jcode($line); print $jconv->sjis; } } It starts in the production environment next week for our Customer Support. Even so, I'm still getting some characters like "RA" in Hiragana being broken sometimes. Anyway, if there's anyway to make it better.... I accept suggestions :-) Isamar

Dear Murahashi San, I have been checking as you already know the japanese encoding system in OTRS. I already got good advances using perl filtering with dot-qmail file converting the characters to Shift_JIS. It has been working very well with the exception of the hiragana letter "RA"(ら) and once in while when replying to a customer, all the message enconding is being broken. It would be very helpful if we share our advances to help each other in some direction to solve this problem making the results public as a great benefit to all OTRS users. Thanks in advance, Isamar Maia Oaklawn Marketing

Dear Maia-san, Thank you for your message regarding encoding. As I mentioned before we use EUC-JP as internal OTRS data, I have no idea why some hiragana letter broken in your approach and how to fix it. How about EUC-JP as a tentative code, and wait for UTF-8 which is Martin's suggestion. We still use OTRS1.1.1 now. We are going to try update it in the near future. If I have advances, I'll post it in this list. Thank you. Shozo
