And that means I have to put the full server path-name, and make sure that
the user otrs has *at least* read permissions to that file, right?

you upload your file to a web server that is accessible to all Clients
and enter the path in form of <img
src="http://<your-server>.<domain>.<tld>/<path>/logo.png"></img>
