Advising number of open tickets in auto-reply

Hi, Wondering if the there is a variable I can put to the auto-reply when someone raises a ticket to say how many tickets we currently have open in our system. We feel this will be more informative than telling them we will get to them in the next few days, as sometimes we can be quite busy.
