After 2.49 upgrade error replying to customer

I replied to a ticked then checked the System Log to make sure the message
was sent and I saw this in the log...

NAME

Actually, those problems happened well before I actually replied. At that
time I was still working on the upgrade. I've created a test ticket and am
able to reply and interact successfully.
