Hello! I have two questions. THe first one concerns the way OTRS deals with customer data. I wouldn't like to create a username and password for every customer because it would be impractical for me to educate them on how to use otrs. So, how would it be possible to enter customers in the database without creating login information for each? The username and password fields on the customer user creation screen are mandatory and I have to fill them in. Question no.2 concerns the images otrs displays (or not in my case) in the browser. The only problem is I cant see any images in the browser when I use otrs. I checked the properties of the images and found that they reside in the /var/lib/otrs/httpd/htdocs/images/Standard directory. So, I tried setting the permissions of the files in Standard to a+rwx but I still cant see any images when I use otrs. What could be the problem? I am using debian with a 2.2.20 kernel. Apache/1.3.33 MySQL Thanks, Tom. -- The lady on the call box in Monkey Island 2 Guybrush: I'm lost in the Inky Island Jungle in Monkey 2 Lady: Just walk off the edge of the screen

Good Afternoon I am runnng OTRS 1.3.2 on a fedora core 2 box. We recently ran out of hard drive space and our php database crashed. Now when I try to view certain pages I get the following error message: Software error: Got no ArticleID! at ../..//Kernel/Output/HTML/ArticleCheckPGP.pm line 32.For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@pc.com), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. The following appears in the system log: Mon Jun 20 13:56:36 2005 error OTRS-CGI-10 No article found for TicketID 65975! I searched for the tickets in phpmyadmin and i found the tickets but no information was caputred and when I try to view the tickets in articles there is nothing. I thought that by deleting the tickets out of the tickets queue the problem would be resolved but it still exists. I have spoken to the administrator of the box but he has no idea on how we can fix the problem. Any ideas? Thanks Rudi

Hi Rudi, I have experienced a similar issue. When this occurs, we simply remove the erroneous tickets from 'ticket' table in the SQL (OTRS) database and this resolves the issue 100% of the time. If this is not helping in your case, I can only assume that some corrupt tickets, without article ids, remain. HTH, Graeme Rudi Kramer wrote:

Hello, I am currently looking into setting up reports by exporting .csv file out of OTRS. Unfortunately the .csv files are coming out with ; instead of , between the columns of data thus Excel (in this case) is putting all of the information in one column. Does anyone know where to amend the syntax so that , are used and not ;? Regards Richard _________________________________________________________________ Want to block unwanted pop-ups? Hi Richard, What I do is simply use the import external data function in Excel which is under the data menu. Import the csv files as is but specify that the delimiter is a semi colon instead of a comma. This does the job and it is better than modifying the code, well IMHO it is. Good Morning Graeme
Yours was the correct solution it seems as though all the email received
during the time the database was giving problems were all corrupt, about 18
of them and after deleting all of these emails the problem was corrected.
