RE: [otrs] Nominations for sponsorship was: PhoneView question

I would suggest that we set up a poll that the OTRS user community can go to and vote on the items they think are important. I know that some bulletin board software (phpBB, for instance) allows the easy creation of polls. Once the poll is set up, we should have a stated 'Start' and 'Stop' time for gathering submissions as well. Hi,
I would suggest that we set up a poll that the OTRS user community can go to and vote on the items they think are important. I know that some bulletin board software (phpBB, for instance) allows the easy creation of polls.
Once the poll is set up, we should have a stated 'Start' and 'Stop' time for gathering submissions as well.
Does the code on OTRS.org have this functionality?
Does anyone have any experience setting up a PayPal account that people can drop donations into?
All that would be required is a PayPal Business account. I use one myself to collection donations from visitors to our site. Be aware, however, that PayPal will take 2.9% of the amount plus an additional 30 cents initially until you've made a certain number of transactions. Eventually the amount decreases. For example, for a donation of $100, only $96.80 will go to OTRS, while $3.20 ($2.90 + $0.30) will go for PayPal's fees. Unfortunately, they don't have special accounts for non-profits. The person withdrawing from the account would have to set it up and manage it. PayPal's registration process is fairly straightforward. I'm not sure how it works outside of the US, however, but I do know they have a list of countries that are supported. Per http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/approved_countries-outside , PayPal accepts withdrawals to local bank accounts in Germany. Users in any country may withdraw funds to a U.S. bank account. Best wishes, Paul
