What is the recommended method for backing up all of OTRS
Have a look in 'scripts', you'll find some backup/restore scripts there. You may well use your usual backup methods, too.
as well as apache
When it comes to Apache, there's little OTRS-specific stuff to backup. In fact, it depends on how you integrated OTRS with it. I guess, backing up the configuration directory of Apache would be fully enough.
and mySQL?
MySQL comes with some handy tools, f.e. 'mysqldump'. Look inside the first mentioned scripts to see how it's used.
Is there a solid system that is documented?
There's no detailed backup documentation, sorry. Willing to provide one?
What does everyone do?
