It should work. Anyway, on SuSE 8.0 is OTRS 0.5 Beta1 (2002-03-11). The current version is OTRS 0.5 Beta8 (with a lot of new features). Remove the Beta1 package and install the current Beta8 ( http://otrs.org/pages/index.pl?Site=Download). ,-)
