You should not make those changes to Defaults.pm but rather to ../Kernel/Config.pm BTW: Defaults.pm is meant as an example file for all the possibilties in Config.pm. and will be overwritten with new releases. It might help to restart apache after you copied the changes to Config.pm.

i need a little help from you: I wanted to translate the automatic Status- and Owner-Change-Emails, so i translated the lines into german in the Defaults.pm (in Config-Directory). Unfortunately ist didn't work. Now i looked for the strings in the other files of otrs, but i didn't find them anywhere else.
