Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the top post, my blackberry is not very friendly.
I connect to the otrs server via an ssh tunnel from my windows xp laptop to the linux server. Also worth noting is that the linux box is a virtual machine running in VMWare workstation on my laptop.
Apache on the linux vm is running one additional site in a virtualhost. That site is running phpMyAdmin to manage myswl on the linux box. I can connect to that box both via the ssh tunnel and by specifying the real ip address of the linux box (not through the ssh tunnel).
I looked to see if there was some access control mechanism in apache that effects regualr site access and not virtualhosts (otrs uses 'Location' instead of virtualhosts).
When I get to my laptop I can post any requested configs if you want to see them.
