Hello *, goal: use a existing LDAP Server to provide "Customers" to OTRS Question: -which configuration files / Environment Vars do i have to specify to point OTRS to an existing LDAP Directory, running on an different Server than OTRS for identifying customers ? ( i have read the docs, but obviously not understood completely :-) ) -does OTRS need a real authentication via pam-ldap oder is it enough that an customer entry is present in the directory for OTRS to accept the customer entry ? background: authentication is still done via NIS and the LDAP Directory is operated by another department that the OTRS system. As far is i understand the LDAP Backend is the only way to avoid generating every customer from scratch ? TIA Micha
