Hey there. I just had a question about attachments from incoming mail to OTRS. My problem is that when a user submits a new ticket bysending an e-mail to OTRS along with an attachment the attachment doesn't seem to display properly. When I zoom in on the ticket with the attachment the attachment is renamed to 'file-X' (i.e. file-1....no extension) and when I try to view it I am unable to do so. Any idea on how I can go about fixing this or anyone know what's going on exactly? Thanks for your time!

They are the HTML portions of the email taht are stripped by otrs.

Okay, so those aren't attachments? Because if I open them in notepad I can
actually see some text (i.e. someone sends a word doc). How then do I go
about viewing the attachments?

If you have sent an attachment with your email, and your mail server has not stripped the atttachment, then it will appear in the same area as File-1 and File-2.

Thanks for your help Shawn. My server is not stripping attachments from my
mail messages. I am still having problems with the attachments however.
Again, just by viewing the file1 and file2 I can see the contents of the
attachments scattered among other characters (i.e. if it's a text document I
can see some of the actual words here and there). Also, I see no mention of
any other attachments except for file1 and file2 when I zoom into the
trouble ticket. Is there a certain setting maybe somewhere that I need to
set or do I need to re-install the whole application?
Thank you for any assistance.
