Customer 'Show closed tickets' preference

I'm in the process of checking a test system I've upgraded to 1.2.1 (from 1.1.1-01). I notice that the customer preference 'Show closed tickets' has no effect. I always get only open and new tickets listed in Ticket-Overview whatever the setting. Is the preference supposed to work, or do the Show closed tickets/Don't show closed tickets links effectively replace it? Jim

No. With "Show closed tickets/Don't show closed tickets" you just can switch without change the default preferences. I can't reproduce your problem. It's also working on demo.otrs.org. :-/

I can't reproduce your problem. It's also working on demo.otrs.org. :-/
Well, I can see the value of UserShowClosedTickets changing in customer_preferences as I set and reset 'Show closed tickets' via the customer Preferences page. Other changes, such as 'Shown Tickets' and 'Language' do take effect. Where should I be looking to try to track down where 'Closed Tickets' is going wrong for me? Now I've noticed another thing: if I restrict 'Shown Tickets' so that not all tickets are shown in one page, and then select the 'Show closed Tickets' link, I am unable to see the closed tickets that ought to be displayed in the second page. If I click on Site 2 after selecting 'Show closed Tickets' the total number of displayable tickets drops by the number of closed tickets. If I then click on 'Show closed Tickets' while viewing the second page I am returned to the first page displaying both open and closed tickets. I hope that makes some kind of sense. Jim
