Is there a way to have auto responses generated by OTRS automatically marked as read? Regards -- Christoph

Hi, This only way to do that, is to make a filter on your client side (thunderbird, gmail or whatever). Regards, 2014-07-08 14:59 GMT+02:00 Christoph Zwerschke < zwerschke@urz.uni-heidelberg.de>:

No, I meant something different. Our agent users requested that the auto response should automatically appear already read in the OTRS web UI, i.e. without the star. The mail client has nothing to do with this, the read state is stored in the OTRS database. It makes no sense that the star (shouting "read me") appears in the UI for auto responses, because our agent users already know the text of the auto response. -- Christoph

Hi Christophe,
This is what the config option
Ticket::NewArticleIgnoreSystemSender
is for, it does exactly what you want. You need to change the default
value, in SysConfig. From then on, all *new* autoreplies will be
marked 'read'.

Thank you Mike, that was it! -- Christoph

Does this mean that the 'ticket merged' notices also do not generate a 'star'? Because in the past when someone merged a ticket, the owner of the existing ticket did not get a notification. That was fixed... Sander
