
Dear Community Members, +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Release Note ++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are proud to announce that SIRIOS 2.2.0 beta2 has been released today. This is a beta release of SIRIOS 2.2. which is not recommended to use for productive operation. Beta releases are published for test purposes only. SIRIOS is a well proven solution based on OTRS that has been designed to efficiently handle IT security incidents. The software was designed focussing on CERTs and their specific requirements but might also be used in any environment where organizational (IT-) security incidents need to be managed. SIRIOS 2.2. requires a pre-installation of OTRS 2.3. Stable release: =============== The stable minor release is planned to be released Oct. 20th 2008 Packages: ========= * SIRIOS: contains an example config., which provides a CERT-specific pre-configuration. * Advisory module: EISPP compatible advisory authoring and publishing system * Artefact database: Central repository for logfiles, exploits, binaries, etc. * IDMEF console: A viewer for IDMEFs reported by Intrusion Detection Systems * Incident module: An IODEF compatible incident tracking module * Vulnerability database: Vulnerability database, able to interpret CVE and OSVDB * Web Watcher: Module to monitor changes in online resources * XML2: This module is required by the IDMEF console. Enhancements: ============= * Removed the multilanguage link from the advisory view if there is only one language active.
