All, We are now hooking up our OTRS instance to some exchange inboxes via pop; however, these boxes have been active for many years with tens of thousands of emails in them (we used the - multiple users, one inbox, management technique and are now switching to OTRS). Is there a way in OTRS to hook it up to exchange and not have it snatch up those tens of thousands of historical tickets? We just want to get everything in the last week and then going forward just grab whatever is new since the last time it checked. In looking at the POP3 / IMAP classes it seems there is not, are there any plugins to do this? I already have a good idea of how to implement and build this but rreaaaally want to save on the development time if this plugin already exists :D ? Best Regards, Mike McMahon

If you no longer care about the stuff older than a week, take a copy of Thunderbird or some standalone POP client, and delete the old stuff. Check to see if your Exchange boxes have IMAP enabled. If so, stop OTRS, connect a IMAP client like Outlook and move the old ones to a subfolder. The Exchange POP and IMAP services look at the same mailboxes.
