creating a config item class that allows attachments

Hello, colleagues, after googling for quite a while I could find no references to the subject. Did anybody manage to create a definition of a general catalog class to allow attachments to CI? Regards, Anton.

Hello Anton and the OTRS comunity I have special need for this feature, because my boss is asking me to add the contracts for certain CI's. Please if you have a way to implement this, please do so. let me count...we are in 5 ... :D why not going in bugs.otrs.org and compiling a enhancement request... I can't do it because I've just requested a couple :D Another way is to make a group interested in it and ask for a commercial request at enjoy@otrs.org... It would be possibile (question for otrs guys) ? Furthermore. We are working to make CI assignable to agent (like type=>'Customer' but for user). When, and if we succeed, how could we contribute and let it be part of the core ? MV On Thu, Mar 11, 2010 at 5:22 PM, Maria Alejandra Piedra <alepr14@hotmail.com

Let me use this opportunity to describe our process behind this: here we have an enhancement request for OTRS. We **might** implement this in the future, if we think it is a good idea, but we also might not, mainly because there are only 24 hours in a day and there is just so much we CAN do... (and other than that, our R&D resources are now focusing mainly on creating the new GUI...) So if you would need this feature *now* the best is to contact us, and we'll see what we can do for you on a commercial basis. If you'd want to have this feature, we will put it into the upcoming release, but make it available for you as soon as we finished development of this one feature by means of backporting it and putting it in a custom package. Other custom development we do sometimes does not make it into the publicly available packages, most often because it does not really fit into the OTRS core and/or modules, because it's too specific. If at all possible, obviously we prefer to enhance OTRS with developments that were paid for by a customer.
