What you could do: Forward the e-mail from box1 to box2 (i.e. with a rule in your mailclient or on your server), leave box1 for use with your local client and use box2 within OTRS. I've searched a while regarding how to allow OTRS to download emails from the server and still retain a copy there, leaving it unread. So the questions are: 1- Which is preferable? POP or IMAP? We're using Google mail for the help desk account. 2- What exact steps are to be taken to work around this? Do I have to edit a .pm file, and how? Or what exactly should be done?

We're running a Fedora 14 machine, and will migrate to a CentOS 5.5 later... basically running Linux.
