I saw your email from already a week back and today your second try. Last
week I already noticed that Lance Vermillion mentioned a similar problem
back in October 2008, he mentioned it on the OTRS mailing list but the issue
stayed unresolved. I contacted him to find out if he ever resolved it; he
couldn't remember, and no longer uses OTRS because of internal changes at
his company.
Digging a little deeper, it could be that your issue is related to this bug:
http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2307
which means that this issue is caused by the MySQL configuration:
If you have the same error on a unix based machine, you must enhance the
max_allowed_packet option in your mysql config file (/etc/my.cf).
For example:
max_allowed_packet=20M
((otrs)) can't fix this problem on an unix based machine, because MySQL is not
part of the OTRS installation package on unix based machines.
If you change this value in the config file you should restart mysql
afterwards. Can you try if this resolves your problem and let us know via
the list?

New to OTRS, please bear with me.
OTRS seems to be running fine for me, but when I tried to install the FAQ module I get:

And I could not find anything in the, ahem, FAQ ...
