you need to assign standard responses to the Queues first. This can be done in the admin area, second row "Queues & Responses".

Thanks. I realized that with a little help from the forum ( http://forums.otrs.org/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=4525&p=18682&sid=2f12ad86a15987b... ) I can however still not make the queue send responses to the users with the correct from-address (also mentioned in above post)
