Re: [otrs] Strange redirect from index.pl on apache/freebsd

A.Rymkus, Sorry if this seems cumbersome or redundant but I am trying to understand your situation/problems a little better. First of all, are you able to re-run the web-installer? (http://server/otrs/installer.pl, tell me what happens after this) 1. Do you need or use SOAP in your environment at all? I ask because it sounds like you needed or wanted to use it at first but you stated that you had uninstalled it and ran CheckModules.pl 2. You mentioned that you copied the default config.pm and index.pl over your modified versions. a. Does the redirect occur with both versions of the files? (I am pretty sure your answer is yes, but just asking) b. When you say "correct login/password" you mean that you have modified the default config.pm by adding the mysql username and password? c. What is the address displayed in the navigation bar after the redirect occurs? d. What is the source of the page you are redirected to? - ryan ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the Rebekah Children's Services Email Security System. **** Confidentiality Notice ***** The information contained in this e-mail, and any attachment, is private and confidential and is the property of Rebekah Children's Services. First of all, are you able to re-run the web-installer? (http://server/otrs/installer.pl, tell me what happens after this) Yes, I've tried to run it and got message "secure mode is enabled" After disabling safemode in the Config.pm file, it had runned normally trough all steps and created a new database. But index.pl redirects me again.
1. Do you need or use SOAP in your environment at all? I ask because it sounds like you needed or wanted to use it at first but you stated that you had uninstalled it and ran CheckModules.pl No, I don't need it ;) When I looked at CheckModules.pl's output, I didn't mentioned it was "optional" but not "required", my fall, sorry =) Anyway, OTRS doesn't worked with SOAP on my system, complaining what SOAP version is invalid because it is faulty, so I removed it. 2. You mentioned that you copied the default config.pm and index.pl over your modified versions. a. Does the redirect occur with both versions of the files? (I am pretty sure your answer is yes, but just asking) yes b. When you say "correct login/password" you mean that you have modified the default config.pm by adding the mysql username and password? another yes. ;) c. What is the address displayed in the navigation bar after the redirect occurs? it was root of my web server. btw it was only apache's message "it works!". d. What is the source of the page you are redirected to? What do you mean?

please check your apache error logs. "The source" for the "goes nowhere"
page: view source in Internet Explorer. If it's blank, it's not being
rendered. Apache error logs should tell you why.

Apache's error log was empty, redirection document contained only dumb HTML header and phrase "document moved", where "moved" pointed to the root of my webserver.
