well i was looking at a different interval than that.
you can have this software check an email account. well it appears to be checking it fine but it only goes and checks it once every ten minutes or so. that is the interval i want to change.

If your on a linux system you can modify the cronjob for the user otrs.
crontab -u otrs -e
In this file you have the lines:
# fetch emails every 10 minutes
*/10 * * * * $HOME/bin/PostMasterPOP3.pl >> /dev/null
change the /10 to /n where n is the number of minutes you want the system to check the mail.
All this assumes that you are using a POP3 mail account.
