Hi Experts, I need to re-host my OTRS server, and I would like to know the next things: Which config files should I backup? How can I do in order to backup the DB and don't loose any ticket, user's, customers and others? Which is the best path to do this? Regards, -- André

Hi Experts,
I need to re-host my OTRS server, and I would like to know the next things:
Which config files should I backup?
Usually /opt/otrs
How can I do in order to backup the DB and don't loose any ticket, user's, customers and others?
You can stop apache & postfix & mysql and then transfer the DB to the new machine and start up the whole beast again -- Ralf Hildebrandt Geschäftsbereich IT | Abteilung Netzwerk Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin Campus Benjamin Franklin Hindenburgdamm 30 | D-12203 Berlin Tel. +49 30 450 570 155 | Fax: +49 30 450 570 962 ralf.hildebrandt@charite.de | http://www.charite.de

If it is a standard installation a $OTRS_HOME/bin/backup.pl should be
enough. Obviuosly a new install (preferably of the same version) on the
target system should be ready and after copied files generated by backup you
should run a $OTRS_HOME/bin/restore.pl
