In windows you cna achieve it using Task Scheduler, In order to fetch email from mail account OTRS has a scirpt called PostMaster.pl now this scripts need to be executed every few minutes to get new emails from mailbox so a cron is set up. Same goes for many other scripts which can be found in /opt/otrs/var/cron. 2008/5/15 :

In the OTRS2.2 Admin manual, at step 3.2.5, setting the cron jobs is explained for Linux/unix. Could anyone tell me the importance of this step and how we can do that on windows? I've installed OTRS in windows only.
