This is not possible, OTRS does not support HTML emails. Hi steve,
i just find out after lots of time spending on google, but thanks for the
response.
isnt there any way to let the outgoing mail be sented in html format? (only
outgoing is needed)
so a logo could be used?
if not i wasted lots of time with otrs cause then otrs is totaly not usefull
thes days of multimedia if you understand me.
cause we have lots of subdivisons that use there own logo and or html
teplates.
if not, anyone got an alternative for otrs that can do html outgoing?
thanks

Yes but it will take you months to re-code the parts of OTRS used to sent emails.

Depends on your target, personally I prefer plain text emails, IMHO HTML should be kept to the browser (but that is an argument for a different mailing list).

I think Request Tracker can now handle sending HTML emails, but it doesn't run well on a Windows platform. Hi steve,
so it is not as easy as this sounds :
http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/dev/2003-December/000306.html ?
i also do prefer plain text, but companus rules these days are that every
mail needs to be signed with a .jpg logo with all needed info about company
and with the company logo..
i found indeed the problem that rt is not really made for windows, so thats
unfortunally no option :(
I think it is a bit a shame that the html output mail is not included with
otrs, it would make it the ideal ticket system :(

Hi, Having installed Mailscanner as antivirus and antisam gateway some years ago, I remember having read about this type of capabilities. But I've not used it so I'm not sure it's possible to add an html footer. Regards, Mikael

At this point let outgoing mail go through some kind of parser, sound
like the only option for you.
Alike http://www.roaringpenguin.com/products/mimedefang perhaps.
sendmail v11
<http://www.roaringpenguin.com/products/mimedefang%20perhaps.%20sendmail
%20v11> appears to have related functionality.
Or switch to a commercial product. If it is indeed that important.
Amazing though, if this is the most important criteria for the product.
Good luck

Mikael, thanks for the response, i will take a look onto it.
Frans, i´m following your idea about criteria , and it is mine to, but i can
not break a company rule.
And there request does not sound very strange actually. i think otrs should
leave the admin how he is sending out a mail.
because it will allways convert incoming html to plain , i do not see the
problem why otrs doesnt do that on.
RT for example does it, an the tinny toy i found does it to, it will just
take some time to develop it to our need.
Anyway, i get an error on the link provide, is this normal?
thanks!
