OTRS Change Management Process.

Hi All, Can anyone please let me know How can I create new Change and approve it. I created work orders of type approval but I'm unable to approve the ticket. How can I assign a change initiator to the change created. Thanks Siva Prasad

I also tried to get change management working. Without success.
There is a strange thing called Change State Machine and another one
Defining Conditions. A non usable UI. I completely do not understand
how to use it.
I tried to get it working based on
http://doc.otrs.org/itsm/2.0/en/html/x756.html
How to use change management in an easy way?
I really would love a UI for change management which can get used by
me and my users. %-/
Please advise.

What would be the way you want to make the Approval and what should happen to the Change and other Workorders if the Approval is given?
How can I assign a change initiator to the change created.
You cannot manually assign a Change Initiator to the Change. The recommendation is to use a RfC Ticket to create the Change, then the Ticket Customer is automatically taken as the Change Initiator. Actually the documentation should tell you everything you need. If it lacks some important details please open an enhancement or other report on http:///bugs.otrs.org for Change Management Documentation.

Well, if you talk about OTRS::ITSM ChangeManagement I can tell you if you tell me what you need. The OTRS::ITSM Change Management Module is - as everything in OTRS - installed with minimal configuration and is configurable up to your needs. It is especially designed to support any kind “Workflows” and not only “ITIL Change Management recommended Workflows”.

Of course this is what we want to provide as well ;-)) If this is not working for you, what can you recommend to change?
Please advise.
