Hi Abelard
I did not understand your concern, perhaps because I don't have an yahoo
address and don't know the difference between yahoo email and "normal"
email addresses.
Communication are sent to the email address configured as email address
on the customer users properties page. Thats all.
Perhaps someone else who has more expirience with yahoo (or google, msn)
can give you more details about it's working with OTRS.
kind regards,
Bruno

i know the notification can be sent to own mail server or client's email
address. If i key in yahoo email address at the user properties page,
does OTRS is able to send the notification to that yahoo email address
as well ?

For SMS messaging;
I found it most easy to use an email-to-sms service to send out SMS
messages to users.
Some mobile phone operators have special email addresses associated
with cell phone numbers you could use; see for instance
http://www.sms2email.com/site/about_external_email2sms.php
http://www.funsms.net/email2sms.htm (from google, I have no clue if
it's good or bad)
or just do some research yourself.
It is best to do a little bit of investigation before choosing an
option, most operators will charge a little for every message and also
charges differ wildly between operators. You might also want to make
sure that you won't send out too many messages, and that the message
is suited for relaying to SMS. Most times only the first 160 chars of
the subject will be used as the SMS text.
You could use the Admin > Notification (event) functionality to define
the messages to send out.
Kindest regards.

It is (at least for me) more kindly if you sign your message at least with your name...
OTRS does not include SMS gateway. But there are many solutions around for that and OTRS is open enough to integrate them.
What do you mean exactly with "able to send email to yahoo, msm and google"? What is special with these email clients? You can send email to any domain using smtp and either your own mailserver or your provider. OTRS uses email capabilities of the system it is installed. If you can send email from this host already, OTRS can send emails too.

Just update Admin > Sysconfig > Framework > Core > FQDN to, in your
case, 192.168.10.69:8080
The notifications that are going out will now include the new address.

Within Notification Management, there is a window shows - Agent (All with write permission), Agent (Owner),Agent (responsible), customer
I have created a helpdesk user name, support user name, both under same queue/group, so that both should receive notifications, under this circumstances, may i know should i select Agent (responsible) at the above window, so that both users, i.e. helpdesk and support will receive notification email ?

Hi all, We're having problems with our response templates not loading correctly when replying to an HTML email. We know this to be the case because all other regular text emails work fine. I think what is happening is that the PostmasterAutoHTML2Text module is not correctly parsing a particular email format, and this causes our response templates to not render. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks! -Bryce

If you can send email from this host already, OTRS can send emails too.
kind regards, Bruno
