Ignore message with a certain string in the subject

Hello, Is there an option to ignore certain e-mails from users ( automated responses, out of office etc... ) ? The subject would have a certain string in it " out of office " and we would like for the OTRS to ignore those messages ( not to create new tickets ). Regards, Please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to.

Hi Paul,
In the Admin section you should be able to create a Postmaster filter using
a regular expression that will filter mails like that to the junk queue. I'm
not sure if you can simply discard the mails.
More info on filtering at;

Kind regards,
Rory

Hi,
yes, you can discard by setting "X-OTRS-ignore", but handle with care, as these mails get discarded.
You may take a look to http://blog.otrs.org/2010/10/22/dont-let-out-of-office-emails-change-your-ti... also, to get handled ooo-replys. It's written for OTRS 2.4.X, but should work for 3.0.X similar, I think.

I`ve created a filter but it is not working. Can i use wildcards and if
so, what is the wild card sign ? ( ex. i tried %out of the office% )
Also is there a restart of the server required for the filter to take
effect ?

Hi Paul, in case you already got a reply, I apologize... Yes, you can ignore those mails: Go to Admin -> PostMaster filter. Add a new filter and give it a name. You should stop after a match. For the matching rules, you have to select 'subject' and set the value to " out of office " (without "). And for the settings select 'X-OTRS-Ignore' und use the value "yes". - Renée On 02.08.2011 11:15, Paul.Andurnache@aviva.ro wrote:
