Sure you can restore your current MySQL database on Debian, but just not on OTRS 2.2.x. Well, I followed http://wiki.otrs-forum.de/index.php?title=Installation_on_Ubuntu_Lucid_Lynx_... Then I tried to do the restore but there was some problems. I had to drop all the tables at otrs database and then give access and permission again to otrs user. Also mysql> grant all on otrs.* to 'otrs@localhost' identified by 'otrsuserpassword'; Then do the workaround needed to circumvent the issue with Perl 5.10.1. ( look at this FAQ entry ) again.
