Customer Backend

Hi! I don't get the Customer Backend running. I connected the backend to our ldap (like the agent interface) and everytime I log in i get "No auth record in 'customer_user'" - if I try to enter the user data in the custome_user I receive "User already exists" ... what is quit clear because the user is already in the LDAP. How do I get that thing running? lg

Hi, Since OTRS 1.3, we can modify the output (size, lines, bars, ..)for each stats in Kernel/Config.pm. But does somebody know how to? Thanks, JB

Hi everybody !!! I'm a new user of OTRS. I plan to use it for our company... I need to add a new field when creating a new ticket. It's very easy to modify the database structure but I don't know how to modify Ticket screens. Thanks in advance for your help. Newbie needs help

Dear List, I am a new user (to be) of the OTRS system. Unfortunately I have no luck getting the application to function properly and I really would be very grateful if anyone of you would be so kind to offer me a helping hand. Everything works okay as far as I can tell except index.pl I mean installer.pl, faq.pl, public.pl do display nicely in the browser. When I pipe a message to Postmaster.pl, the message ends up in the article table etc. When I set debug mode, otrs logs lines in /tmp/otrs.log. So no problems here... The only thing that is not working for me are the index.pl and customer.pl. pages. Both pages crash the Apache daemon (error 500). wide character

hey Im pretty new to OTRS and already i have a problem. When Im sending emails with polish characters i got: Software error: Wide character in subroutine entry at (eval 83) line 1. I noticed that its happening when im putting chars like: "ł". I've got ver. 1.3.2 with configs: $Self->{DefaultLanguage} = 'pl'; $Self->{DefaultCharset} = 'UTF-8'; mysql with general encoding in utf and locale in pl_PL.UTF8 what could be wrong?

Generic agent not doing anything

Hi! I still have the problem with all my incoming mail tickets being owned by the user with id = 1. So, I tried to make a generic agent job that changes the owner. Now, my problem is that nothing happens?? The agent says " 3 Tickets affected! You really want to use this job?", so I would expect that at least 3 tickets should be affected. But none are.. Please help me out here: What can be the reason for the generic agent not doing anything? I run it by clicking run now, so it is not a time setting. No QueueID

Bug in installation of latest otrs 2.0.3 - help needed?

Dear All, I am trying to install the OTRS 2.0.3 tarball on a RedHat system but am experiencing some problems. I have installed everything according to the instructions in the INSTALL* files. Running the Web-Installer in instruction #8 went like a breeze. Database and all tables populated beautifully. So far so good. However, instruction #10 (http://mydomain/otrs/index.pl) is causing me a headache because it throws the well known 'Internal Server Error' in Apache. However, when I run index.pl on the command line it spits out the page correctly. And when I put the output of index.pl in a file, put a print statement around it, and point my browser to this new file, the login page shows up in my browser. The generated page code and headers look okay to me , so why is Apache throwing the 500 error ? LOG MESSAGES: Setting $Debug=2 in index.pl, the log file /tmp/otrs.log shows lines like: [Sat Oct 15 10:54:42 2005][Debug][Kernel::System::Web::InterfaceAgent::new][89] Global handle started... [Sat Oct 15 10:54:42 2005][Debug][Kernel::System::Main::Require][52] Module: Kernel::System::Queue loaded! Apache log shows the well known 'Premature end...' lines: [Sat Oct 15 10:54:43 2005] [error] [client 84.85.64.41] Premature end of script headers: /opt/otrs/bin/cgi-bin/index.pl Again, the otrs/faq.pl and otrs/public.pl pages show up in the browser correctly, as does the otrs/installer.pl page. But index.pl causes a crash of the httpd server. Is this a bug in the latest OTRS 2.0.3 or what else could be wrong with the installation? Many thanks in advance for your kind attention.
