Hi ewerybody, It is again me, I am searching for the information if it is possible to reach & update OTRS database with an external application and does OTRS cache the information in the database or it just synchronises all the information from the ticket database eachtime? Free Fields for the tickets

Hi everybody, One more question :) Is it possible to assign values for Free Fields while creating a new ticket? I dont see the 'Free Fields' I defined, in the new ticket window, is there a way to see them within this menu? Hello, this question was already addressed. The front end must be modified by manually changing the template and requires perl programming experience. At least in one instance I have seen this question. I have not had this request yet, and I will personally try to stick to the standard format. Hi everybody, I want to make my question a bit more specific: Is there a possible way to add new fields, new variables to the CustomerFrontend, I want to learn if there is a path that I can follow for this task because there is some information in manual how to add new fields to the frontend, but I found it was not working. Calendar Installation Problem

I'd really like to use the calendar module but if I try to install it through the Pakage Manager I get ERROR: Need write permission in OTRS home Try: $OTRS_HOME/bin/SetPermissions.sh !!! I did run SetPermission and it ran without error but I still get the above. I tried using opm.pl but I'm not sure of the options. This is OTRS 2.0 from apt-get install on Debian Stable Sarge with Apache 1.3.33. Everything else in OTRS works great. Thanks, Mike

Help using PGP?

I am really new to OTRS, so far it looks great! Using OTRS v2.x I am having a bit of trouble setting up PGP. I've enabled PGP via the sysconfig menu and when I then go to the PGP config screen and try to add a key I get the following message: Info : gpg: keyblock resource `/root/.gnupg//secring.gpg': file open errorgpg: keyblock resource `/root/.gnupg//pubring.gpg': file open errorgpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.gpg: Total number processed: 0 It seems as though I need to install/configure OpenPGP first, but I really have no clue as I've never used that app before. Can anyone give me some hints on what I need to do? Thanks in advance! --Steve

OK, I figured out the problem... apparently the server was missing the Perl module Net::POP3 so installing that module from CPAN solved the problem. Which is strange because that module has never been installed on that server and OTRS and the PostMasterPOP3.pl script has worked perfectly up until yesterday...
