Has faced such problem. After installation base OTRS in a theme of Subject OTRS eats blanks between words if the theme of the message is written by Russian letters. The coding in OTRS - utf-8. There can be somebody faced a similar problem? -- Yours faithfully to you, swood

OTRS package installation error

I try to install OTRS::ITSM but i am behind proxy. I tried to install by downloading the packages. When i click on the button continue on the installation i get the error: Need File/Package! But i already installed the dependencies. I try to intall ITSMTicket and already have installed the following packages: - GeneralCatalog 1.0.4 - LinkObject 1.0.4 - ITSMCore 1.0.4 - ITSMService 1.0.4 Sorry for my poor english... upgrade OTRS database from 1.3.2 to 2.2.4

Dear all, I'm moving my otrs 1.3.4 system to Version 2.2.4. How can I convert my old otrs data base in new scheme? Are they some programs somewhere to upgrade OTRS database from 1.3.2 to 2.2.4 Thanks in advance for your help. Upgrade Issue from 2.0.4 to 2.2.4

I did an upgrade from 2.0.4 to 2.2.4 everything is ok except that when a click to compose an empty email, I get this error: Software error: Modification of a read-only value attempted at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/i386-linux-thread-multi/Net/DNS/Question.pm line 47. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks

nagios and otrs - user contributed

Hi all. i try google and find, for example, information about integtation nagios + otrs by that way: http://osdir.com/ml/otrs.devel/2005-01/msg00013.html (maybe it may be found on lists.otrs.org archive). That letter contains some user-contributed scripts, attached to it, but in the same thread i find a note about closing otrs wiki. Are there a place for user contributions now? Are there in this maillist people from otrs, that can answer about it? that attached scripts made for 1.2* version and too old, i think. But if they were placed in public/contributions/wiki site it will be customised , upgraded and used by people! Mike

utf8 & otrs database

Hello, I run otrs with a database hosted on a mysql5 server which is not on utf8 by default. However, otrs' database is encoded in utf8. During the upgrade, this caused troubles (strange characters appeared). I think this is due to the fact that the db upgrade script do not specify a charset and rely on the global default in mysql's my.cnf file. Would anyone have an idea how to solve that without turning the whole mysql into utf8 ? Thanks in advance, -- Mikael Kermorgant

Hi, As suggested, I used the DBUpdate scripts to upgrade step by step from 1.3 to 2.0 then 2.0 to 2.1 and 2.1 to 2.2 without any error. At the end of this process I obtained an database structure a little bit different that it's released by the otrs 2.2.4 installer. More curious is that the otrs program seems to work fine in the whole functionalities except the FAQ feature that is not working at all. At this point I'm afraid to use the upgraded data base instead of the released 2.2.4 otrs data base because I'm not confident with the compliance between Upgraded data base 2.2.0 and 2.2.4 source code. Any idea on this issue? Did I forgotten to do some things in the upgrade procedure ? Thanks in advance for your help. Upgrade OTRS 2.2.2 on Server 2003

Hello, Can anybody tell me how to upgrade OTRS 2.2.2 to 2.2.4 on a windows 2003 server? When I run the 2.2.4 installer it says that it cannot continue because there are already apache, cron and mysql services found and that I should remove them. Thanks, Peter

Can't locate object method "_secflags"

hi, I m using otrs 2.1.4 installed on linux Enterprise v4. This was working fine for past 3 months. Lately i m receiving the following error msg: Can't locate object method "_secflags" via package "Authen::SASL::Perl::GSSAPI" at /home/oss/otrs/Kernel/cpan-lib/Authen/SASL/Perl.pm line 32. Attempt to free unreferenced scalar: SV 0x1b786b0, Perl interpreter: 0x505010. This error i can see whenever i perform operations like move queues, change owner or create ticket..Also when i run script PostMasterPOP3.pl to create tickets from mails For your information i recently configured 3 mail servers in OTRS. I think this might be the problem..though im not very sure. Can u guys please tell me what might be the problem. This is critical problem that cropped in live environment.
