I have been googling this for hours and it seems to have been mentioned on here but no one has ever given anything. What I want to do is link OTRS with a CRM program like SugarCRM (or similar). Has anyone done this before/know how to do it? Basically I want the tickets to be copied into SugarCRM automatically, with all approriate fields, and customers to be stored in the same location. I read somewhere that one guy had done it but he provided no further info. Cany anyone help? Cheers ~Chris

In the customer interface, can a search be made by ticket type or dynamic field?

Hi list, Does anyone know if OTRS can enable customers to search their tickets by ticket type or dynamic fields? This would be an extension of the search already available in the customer interface. Thanks, Bogdan P.S: I went through all configs from SysConfig (v3.1.10) that seemed to be related to the customer interface and wasn't able to find anything related to customizing the search available to customers.

MSSQL, CS_OPT_TEXTSIZE failed and the solution mentioned in the CHANGELOG

Hello, I am using MSSQL as customer backend and I am getting the infamous CS_OPT_TEXTSIZE error. The CHANGELOG suggests to set the "Attribute => {}" option of the database backend, in order to prevent LongReadLen being set. This is what I did: Params => { # if you want to use an external database, add the # required settings DSN => 'DBI:Sybase:server=XXX; database=XXX', User => 'xxx', Password => 'xxx', Table => 'XXX', Attribute => {}, ... } Despite the "Attribute" var being set it seems to be ignored, as I am still getting a lot of "Setting of CS_OPT_TEXTSIZE failed. at /opt/otrs/Kernel/cpan-lib/Apache/DBI.pm line 319." errors. PRODUCT = OTRS VERSION = 3.1.2 BUILDDATE = Fri Mar 2 08:35:30 CET 2012 BUILDHOST = otrsbuild.otrs.com Compile-time settings (established with the "configure" script) Version: freetds v0.82 freetds.conf directory: /etc/freetds MS db-lib source compatibility: no Sybase binary compatibility: yes Thread safety: yes iconv library: yes TDS version: 4.2 iODBC: no unixodbc: yes The MSSQL server is 2008 R2, TDS protocol version is set to 8.0. Preventing ticket close on specific ticket type

Hello, I've created different ticket types and edited the customer ticket creation template to open all new tickets as a specific type. Now I'd like to prevent agents to close tickets with this initial ticket type. Does anyone know a config setting or work around for this? I'm using OTRS 3.0 without ITSM. Thanks a lot. Customer Company Search case sensitive in Customer Information Center

Greetings to all. Since the upgrade to 3.2.7, I've noticed that customer search in Customer Information Center (The AJAX modal window), has become case sensitive on the first row (CustomerID/Customer Company Name), while it is still case insensitive on the second row (Customer Name). I don't know where i can revert the first row to be case insensitive again, since the Key CaseSensitive => 0 (or 1) works only for the second Row (which is for CustomerUser keys and not for CustomerCompany keys in Config.pm). Installation documentation somewhat bias away from PostgreSQL

Hello I am trying to install OTRS over PostgreSQL, over CentOS. The documentation (although extremely good) is not a lot of help in my case . The emphasis is squarely on MySQL and the 'installer.pl' WEB GUI which 'only works with MySQL' :-( All other configurations are consigned to rather brief footnotes. Is there someone who has installed this variant and is willing to post a step-by-step guide? Specifically I am have trouble with 'otrs' user access permissions on start up. OTRS on iPad Safari (Chrome)

Hi all. I have problem with OTRS 3.2.2 in agent interface on iPad (iPhone) with Safari (and Chrome too). When I click on empty answer, Safari (Chrome too) freeze. I don't have any idea how debuge it. Can you help me? Thanks in advance Jan

Append Messages to a OTRS ticket with subject line intact

Hi, I am running OTRS version 3.2.7 on CentOS Linux Version 6.4. Is there a way to append conversation in OTRS whenever any end customer replies to the specific ticket keeping the subject line intact( also includes ticket #)? Regards, Kaushal

new process ticket to customer

How can I give permissions/configure this process to the 'Customer Interface'? OR How can I give permissions to users from ldap to access this menu option in the 'Agent Interface'?
