SMTP Sending error

Just got OTRS 3.03 setup from the RPM on Centos 5.5. Trying to get ANY mail sending option working, with no luck. The error when trying to relay via Google Apps (SMTPS) is: Software error: Can't locate object method "new" via package "Net::SMTP::SSL" at /opt/otrs//Kernel/System/Email/SMTPS.pm line 121. For help, please send mail to the webmaster (root@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried Sendmail as well, and got a similar but different error, about not finding the method "autoflush"

It does require some thought as to the interfaces and what you expect the monitoring tools to actually do with incident/problem issues, but the technology pieces are there to do so. It is not however on the "supported partner" list for either HP or BMC (mostly because that costs a LOT of money, and OTRS doesn't have a budget for that kind of certification). Also let me know overall OTRS integration capabilities with all kind of systems like oracle financials, SAP, HR systems etc? Again, depends on what you want to do. For this kind of stuff, you need VERY good requirements definition, for which I would strongly recommend retaining some expert help both from the enterprise management side as well as for the OTRS side of the problem. Without knowing what precisely you mean by integration with these various systems, it's pretty much impossible to answer this question.

OTRS system suddenly get down anytime

Hello all.... I have a problem that, sometimes OTRS system suddenly gets down, giving "500 internal server error" error. For this, I simply restart IIS server and then it starts again. I am using IIS7. What could be the possible reasons? Also tell me which module I should use for OTRS in IIS under 'Handler Mapping'- CGImodule or ISAPIModule ? Currently I am using ISAPI. hide states by type

Hello All, We want to understand if OTRS can integrate with proprietor system like HP EMS or BMC Petrol. While using OTRS, we would like to continue using proprietor event management system so that we can leverage our existing investment. OTRS and MySql

Hello All, I am trying to evaluate the OTRS for meeting our ITSM requirements. I am posting this question to esteemed member to know whether OTRS supports MySql. We want to run MySql because we have the good hands-on over this database and have seen this growing. Could please some of the members share their input on OTRS with MySql? Dicking around with AgentTicketZoom.dtl

Hi, In OTRS 2.4.x, I could do this in AgentTicketZoom.dtl (in my own theme):  <p> <hr> <b>$Text{"Customer Info"}:</b> $Data{"CustomerTable"} <img src="http://helpdesk.company.com/images/thumbs/$Data{"CustomerUserID"}.jpg"> </p>  And get a picture of the customer in the ticket zoom view. This doesn't work in OTRS 3, because $Data{"CustomerUserID"} apparantly has no value. What is the right way to do it? Ideally, I think the image should be created by the $Data{"CustomerTable"} call, but my extremely limited knowledge of perl makes this impossible for me. Lars
